About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioural Support Worker to join our team at Look Ahead. As a Behavioural Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Autism and Behaviour that Challenges, providing them with the tools and strategies they need to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to individuals with Autism and Behaviour that Challenges, helping them to develop the skills and strategies they need to manage their behaviour and achieve their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure that the individual's needs are being met and that the behaviour support plan is effective.
  • Provide training and education to individuals, families, and carers on behaviour management and support strategies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of behaviour support plans, including the creation of behaviour support plans, risk assessments, and crisis plans.
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism and Behaviour that Challenges.
  • Knowledge of behaviour support principles and practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
