About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Behavioural Support Worker to join our team at Look Ahead. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Autism and challenging behaviour to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and monitor customer behaviours, identifying triggers and developing effective intervention plans.
  • Work collaboratively with customers, families, and other professionals to promote social inclusion and independent living.
  • Deliver high-quality support, including physical, domestic, emotional, and social care, to enable customers to maximise their skills and choices.
  • Participate in Behaviour Analysis, planning and implementing interventions to modify and resolve challenging behaviours.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans, ensuring they are tailored to individual needs and goals.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, families, and colleagues, providing regular updates and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer progress, support provided, and Behavioural data.

About You:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting individuals with Autism and challenging behaviour. You will have:

NVQ Level or equivalent in a relevant field.Minimum years of experience working with customers with Autism/Behaviour that challenges and Diabetics.Good IT skills and ability to work with various software systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, families, and colleagues.A calm and resilient approach, with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
