About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Behavioural Support Worker to join our team at Look Ahead. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Autism and challenging behaviours to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional, psychological, and social support to individuals with Autism and challenging behaviours
  • Develop and implement behaviour support plans to promote positive behaviour change
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support
  • Monitor and record customer progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the service

About You:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting individuals with Autism and challenging behaviours. You will have a strong understanding of behaviour analysis and be able to develop and implement effective behaviour support plans. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with Autism and challenging behaviours
  • Good IT skills
  • Driver's license
