The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Accounting Specialist to join our fast-paced fund accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing investor allocations and complex fee structures, overseeing the accounting of underlying investments, and managing ad hoc queries from external fund administrators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze investor allocations and complex fee structures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee the accounting of underlying investments, including review of non-trading expense items and coordination of invoice signoffs, payments, and accrual adjustments.
  • Manage ad hoc queries from external fund administrators, providing timely and accurate responses to ensure seamless communication.
  • Participate in the fund audit process to deliver accurate year-end financial statements.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Compliance, to address fund-related queries.
  • Assist in reviewing and implementing regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of our fund accounting infrastructure through various projects.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or international equivalent).
  • Degree-educated with a strong understanding of financial markets and regulations.
  • 1-3 years of PQE experience in asset management, preferably in a fund accounting role.
  • US GAAP knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Diligent, organized, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A team player with a professional approach and a keen desire to learn.
  • Displays and operates at the highest degree of ethics and integrity.
