We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Fund Accounting Technical Specialist within our Accounting Technical Advisory team at M&G. This position focuses on providing specialized knowledge in fund accounting, particularly for private and alternative asset classes, and will involve engagement in various projects such as fund launches, mergers, and closures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering technical expertise in fund accounting for initiatives centered on private and alternative assets.
- Drafting comprehensive accounting documentation for intricate transactions or emerging asset categories.
- Providing expert guidance on daily operations, including NAV oversight and financial reporting.
- Evaluating the implications of regulatory changes and accounting standards on fund accounting practices.
- Facilitating transformation projects involving fund and share class launches, mergers, closures, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in fund accounting, specifically with private and alternative asset classes.
- Familiarity with Lux GAAP, IFRS, and UK FRS102 standards.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capabilities, particularly with advanced Excel proficiency.
