About the role

We are currently seeking a Water Networks Supervisor to join our team. As a Water Networks Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting a range of field-based activities involving valve operations, asset investigation, and water quality activities.

You will work closely with our network coordinator and project manager to control the day-to-day running of field operatives and ensure all activities are performed safely and efficiently within a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mains isolation's, asset investigation, and water quality activities such as flushing and sampling.
  • Control the day-to-day running of field operatives and ensure all activities are performed safely and efficiently within a timely manner.
  • Be the first point of contact for all operatives on site.
  • Liaise directly with management, field operatives, and office staff to ensure the highest standard of communication between all parties.
  • Be able to suggest resolutions to complex jobs and help operatives overcome any problems they face on site.
  • Be able to use GIS and provide plans and other reference documents to operatives on site as well as conduct trace extensions.
  • Perform monthly audits on work and equipment for all operatives – both days and nights.
  • Responsible for briefing all operatives on any new procedures and hold regular team meetings in which you can brief any relevant toolbox talks.
  • Ensuring all operatives are always wearing correct PPE.

Requirements

  • Experience in the clean water industry, ideally in network operations.
  • Previous supervisor or management experience.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence. This is essential for this role.
  • EUSR Water Hygiene.
  • Valve operations.
  • Flush and sampling.
  • NRSWA Supervisor.
  • IT proficient.
