We are seeking an exceptional Field Operations Manager to join our team in Greenwich Storm, responsible for managing and developing a team of Sewer Technicians to deliver excellent customer service and operational performance across the northwest catchment.

This role requires a strong leader who can inspire and motivate their team, ensuring that they perform in a manner representative of Thames Water's company values and professionalism.

  • Responsibilities include performance managing and Performance Development of a field operations team, monitoring and steering performance against key metrics, promoting a culture of engagement and motivation within the team, and conducting regular site visits to assess the quality of work being completed by your team.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and well-being of your team are always maintained and that safe working practices which comply with company procedures are followed.
  • You will also identify and support the implementation of new initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer service improvements.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Greenwich Storm, offering a salary up to £48,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. You will split your time between the office and the field with your team, enabling you to provide direct support, engagement, and performance management both as a team and on a one-to-one basis.

The ideal candidate will have excellent people and team management skills, ability to lead, develop and performance manage field-based operatives, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be well organised and able to manage their time and multi-task.

As a Field Operations Manager, you will be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office as well as planning and reporting software, and have previous experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Health and Safety qualifications such as IOSH / NEBOSH are desirable.
