About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled General Practitioner to join our dynamic primary care team in Chorley.

The successful candidate will work closely with our existing clinical team, comprising 3 Partners, 3 salaried GPs, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants, a Practice Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician.

Our practice is a Training Practice, has achieved high QOF ratings, and is located in the heart of Chorley. We have a fully computerised EMIS web system and offer Electronic Prescription Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
  • Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £10500 per session, with the opportunity to earn up to 6 sessions per week.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including:

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must be a newly qualified GP (less than 2 years of certificate) with full registration with the General Medical Council and membership of a recognised medical defence organisation.

You should also be registered on the Primary Medical Service Performers List.
