Job Overview: We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Academic Officer in our Sheffield office. The selected candidate will be responsible for enhancing student attendance and engagement, as well as fostering a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with students, parents, and guardians to understand the root causes of absenteeism and develop targeted solutions
  • Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, and external partners to create a comprehensive attendance improvement plan
  • Analyze attendance data and identify trends to inform strategic decision-making
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and educational institutions
  • Produce regular attendance reports and present findings to relevant parties
  • Design and implement initiatives to boost student motivation and engagement

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in attendance improvement or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge of safeguarding policies and legislation
  • Valid driving license and access to a car for work purposes
  • Business insurance for the use of a personal vehicle
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
