Job Title: Packaging Procurement Specialist

The role involves supporting the National Accounts team as a key member of the procurement function. The ideal candidate will have experience in packaging manufacturing and design, with a strong understanding of the procurement process. You will be responsible for sourcing materials and products at best price while ensuring timely delivery and high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintaining and developing key supplier relationships to source materials and products
  2. Staying abreast of client briefs to ensure full understanding of proposed design processes and required materials/products
  3. Working closely with Business Development Directors to input into new business proposals and projects
  4. Ensuring all purchasing transactions are carried out in the most cost-effective manner
  5. Effective communication of purchasing strategy throughout the national accounts retail division

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in procurement or related field with corrugate or polythene and/or design-led packaging solutions
  • Previous exposure to working with national sales/national accounts functions and/or major retail customers is advantageous
  • Strong leadership style, commercial acumen, effective communication & negotiation skills

Estimated Salary Range: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
