Derby-based Nuclear Primary Components Designer

We are looking for a skilled and experienced designer to join our team as a Derby-based Nuclear Primary Components Designer. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and experience with CAD software, and will be responsible for creating full-life cycle designs that meet the required product attributes of life, cost, availability, and safety margins.
The role involves integrating cross-discipline engineering concepts, collaborating across manufacturing engineering, simulation, materials, testing, and supply chain functions. You will also be required to document and verify information against sound mechanical engineering practices and references.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading company in the field of propulsion system design and development for the Royal Navy's nuclear submarine fleet. As a Nuclear Primary Components Designer, you will be working on a wide range of projects, from concept to delivery, and will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
We offer a competitive salary of £55,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits, including bonus, employee support assistance, and employee discounts. Key Responsibilities:
