We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Professional to join our team at a reputable Primary School in Alnwick.

This SEN job requires you to play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, promoting their learning and well-being, and creating a positive school environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, ensuring their safety and progress.
  • Develop strategies to manage challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive, and consistent manner, maintaining a supportive classroom environment.
  • Supervise pupils during break and lunchtime as required, providing guidance and support when needed.
  • Engage actively with pupils, forming positive relationships and encouraging their learning, fostering a sense of belonging and achievement.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS check (ideally on the Update Service) for safeguarding purposes.
  • A strong ability to build relationships and rapport with pupils and staff, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with pupils, inspiring confidence and motivation.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people fulfil their potential and flourish in their education, making a meaningful impact on their lives.

Salary: £22,500 - £27,500 per annum

Estimated Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
