Role Overview: Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Behavioural Support Mentor to join our excellent Primary School in Alnwick.

We are looking for a professional who can inspire young minds and make a positive impact in the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This role involves providing Behavioural Support to pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, managing challenging behaviour in a positive and proactive manner, and supervising pupils during break and lunchtime as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Behavioural Support to pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Manage challenging behaviour in a positive and proactive manner.
  • Supervise pupils during break and lunchtime as required.
  • Engage actively with pupils, forming positive rapport and encouraging their learning.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (ideally on the Update Service)
  • Strong ability to build relationships and rapport with pupils and staff
  • Experience in classroom support is beneficial, though not essential
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with pupils
  • A genuine passion for helping young people fulfil their potential and flourish in their education

Salary Information: The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
