Job Overview

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is proud to partner with a leading client in the renewable energy sector to recruit a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer.

This permanent role is based in Hereford and requires a University or Technical Degree in Engineering, with experience in Utility-scale solar PV projects in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Develop effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, engineers, consultants, and team members to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mechanical Site Oversight: Monitor and oversee mechanical work at the project site to ensure it meets contractual obligations.
  • Quality Assurance: Review contractors' QA plans & procedures and bring them into conformance with project requirements, supported by the project team.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct site audits to verify accurate completion of scope of work in accordance with the quality plan and HSE plan.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and communicate application and installation concerns, and communicate them back to site management for required resolution and future issue prevention.
Requirements

Applicants must have a University or Technical Degree in Engineering and be based near the site in Hereford.

Experience with Utility-scale solar PV projects in the UK is essential.
