Job Overview

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in a permanent role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of mechanical projects in the utility-scale solar PV sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, engineers, and consultants to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Mechanical Site Management
    • Monitor and oversee mechanical work at project sites to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Review and approve contractors' QA plans and procedures to ensure conformance with project requirements.
  • Audit and Compliance
    • Conduct site audits to verify accurate completion of scope of work and ensure compliance with quality and HSE plans.
  • Issue Resolution
    • Identify and communicate application and installation concerns to site management for resolution and future issue prevention.

Requirements

  • University or Technical Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience with utility-scale solar PV projects in the UK.
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
