To be successful in this position, applicants must hold a University or Technical Degree in Engineering and be based near the site in Hereford. Experience with Utility-scale solar PV projects in the UK is also essential.

The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, engineers, consultants, and team members to ensure successful project completion.

  1. Monitor and oversee mechanical work at the project site to ensure it meets contractual obligations.
  2. Ensure projects are built according to plans created and submitted, adhering to the company's standards.
  3. Cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Project Management, Logistics, Quality, HSE, and all support functions as needed.
  4. Review contractors' QA plans & procedures and bring them into conformance with project requirements, supported by the project team.
  5. Conduct audits of site conditions and equipment installation of subcontractors on the site.
  6. Perform audits of jobsites to verify accurate completion of scope of work in accordance with the quality plan and HSE plan.
  7. Identify and communicate application and installation concerns, and communicate them back to site management for required resolution and future issue prevention.
