Support Worker for Students with Special Needs

**Job Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced SEN Support Worker to join our team at a vibrant secondary school in Chorley, Lancashire. As an SEN Support Worker, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCo to provide tailored support to students with additional needs.
Responsibilities:As an SEN Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with special educational needs.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCo to implement IEPs and behaviour management plans.
- Assisting in the planning, preparation, and adaptation of learning resources to support individual students.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and the SENCo.
- Building positive relationships with students to support their academic, social, and emotional development.
**Requirements:**
- Essential: Experience working with young people, particularly those with SEN.
- Desirable: Previous experience in an educational setting or relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping students with additional needs succeed.
