Learning Support Worker

We are seeking a Learning Support Worker to join our team at a Specialist School in Chorley. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As a Learning Support Worker, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide individualized support to students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Hearing Impairment (HI), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Visual Impairment (VI), Moderate Learning Difficulty (MLD) and Complex Needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEN
  • Assist students with daily living tasks and personal care
  • Support students with their learning and development
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers and parents

**Requirements:**

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting children with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Patient and understanding approach
