Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Support Worker, you will provide vital support to students with Special Educational Needs in schools across Chorley.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, helping them to engage in lessons and reach their full potential.
  • Assist in managing challenging behaviours and promoting positive behaviour strategies in line with school policies.
  • Support students' social, emotional, and academic development through tailored interventions.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff to ensure each student's individual needs are met.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all learners.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in an educational or care setting is desirable).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to managing challenging situations.
  • A passion for making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
  • Willingness to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of different schools and students.
