About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a specialist SEMH school. As a Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students to provide the structure and support they need to succeed.
Main Duties:
- Working 1:1 or in small groups to support students with challenging behaviors and SEMH needs
- Implementing individual behavior management plans in line with school policies
- Building positive, supportive relationships with students to foster trust and cooperation
- Supporting classroom teachers in delivering tailored learning experiences
- Promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all students
About You:
This role requires someone who is patient, empathetic, and has experience working with young people exhibiting challenging behaviors. You will be resilient, adaptable, and able to stay calm under pressure. Skilled in de-escalation techniques and managing high-stress situations, you will be able to provide the support and guidance that our students need to thrive.
