About the Role

Newbury Racecourse is a leading sporting venue seeking a skilled Sales Executive to join our dynamic Sales Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Newbury Racecourse's racing business to potential and existing clients, showcasing our unique offerings and exceptional service.
  • Respond to and convert incoming enquiries for raceday hospitality boxes and restaurants, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
  • Manage existing accounts, growing their potential and identifying new opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Proactively generate new leads to build and enhance our customer portfolio, leveraging your expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate proposals, contract documents, and invoices, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Ensure the booking system is updated in real-time, enabling accurate sales forecasting and informed business decisions.
  • On racedays, meet and greet, troubleshoot, and liaise with customers to deliver exceptional customer experiences, exceeding their expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with the catering team to coordinate and deliver box and dining products, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Organize sales visits, both internal and external, to drive business growth and build strong relationships with clients.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a sales environment, preferably with a mix of new business and proactive account management.
  • Prior experience within the hospitality or sports industries would be advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, combined with a flair for customer interaction and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Motivation and enthusiasm for the role and the Newbury Racecourse brand.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with a focus on attention to detail and timely delivery.
