Newbury Racecourse is a premier sporting venue that hosts a wide range of events, including racing, concerts, weddings, and conferences. We are seeking a skilled Sales Executive to join our team and contribute to the success of our racing business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Representing Newbury Racecourse's racing business to potential and existing clients
- Converting incoming enquiries for raceday hospitality boxes and restaurants
- Managing existing accounts and growing their potential
- Generating new leads to build and enhance the existing customer portfolio
- Preparing detailed and accurate proposals
- Producing contract documents and invoices in a timely manner
- Ensuring the booking system is updated in real time to allow for accurate sales forecasting
- Providing exceptional customer service on racedays
- Collaborating with the catering team to deliver outstanding customer experiences
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a sales environment, preferably with a mix of new business and proactive account management
- Prior experience within the hospitality or sports industries would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills combined with a flair for customer interaction
- Motivation and enthusiasm for the role and the Racecourse
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- A positive, proactive attitude
