We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors to leverage growth opportunities and drive performance of the business.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders within the existing customer estate.
  • Maintain regular contact to introduce new manufacturers, products, services, and technologies to achieve sales growth.
  • Encourage new customers to open an account with Exertis and qualify new accounts.
  • Identify accounts with significant opportunity, engaging additional support/expertise and arranging meetings, Teams or in person.
  • Manage pipeline and forecasting.
  • Profile potential leads to establish opportunities for new business.
  • Use market intelligence and historical data to plan and target your accounts effectively.
  • Collaborate with vendors and product specialists, encouraging synergy with Commercial, Customer Service and Credit Control.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as responding to emails, processing orders and managing pricing.
  • Develop an industry-leading skill set by proactively keeping abreast of new trends and products in the market by attending sales training, vendor training, researching and self-study.
  • Participate in side-by-side coaching sessions with the Team Leader/Sales Manager to increase productivity and improve performance.
  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the Exertis Group Code of Conduct.

Requirements

  • Must have proven experience in Account Management.
  • Experience in the IT or Memory Channel is desirable but not essential.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have experience in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the designated office location.
