Job Role

The Renewals and Retention Specialist will oversee the renewal team's efforts to innovate and improve global methodology and best practices, ensuring proper use of the Salesforce system.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Guide Renewal Representatives in developing strategies to increase ARR, identify risks, and negotiate effectively with customers.
  • Promote a hands-on approach, including renewal call activity, direct customer communication, leading renewal sales strategy calls, and risk identification.
  • Foster collaboration with Global Renewal leadership to develop and implement strategies aimed at achieving company goals.
  • Evaluate team members' skills and provide regular coaching and feedback to help them meet objectives and advance in their careers.
  • Identify areas where the team needs improvement or where the territory requires growth, and participate in recruiting and interviewing activities.
  • Lead Renewal Team members in managing key internal relationships to advance renewal goals and contribute to company growth.
  • Be actively involved in all critical deals and work closely with Renewal Representatives across various accounts to stay informed about the current sales environment.
Requirements

To succeed in this position, you must have:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading a renewal team that achieves target attainment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
  • The ability to teach consultative selling methodology to identify new and existing opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation skills to handle contract renewals and address customer objections effectively.
  • Experience with CRM and opportunity management systems.
  • A deep understanding of the renewal process and best practices for customer retention.
  • The ability to drive operational excellence by leveraging data and making efficient decisions to ensure timely renewals.
  • The capacity to lead a team and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual quota requirements.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a pleasant and professional attitude.
