Long Term Futures Ltd is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their partner primary school in Birmingham. This long-term opportunity has the potential to become a permanent position for the right person.
About the RoleThe Behaviour Mentor will provide one-to-one support for pupils with SEN, maintaining clear and consistent boundaries to manage any challenging behaviours effectively. They will work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement strategies that promote positive behavioural outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualised support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them overcome challenges and achieve success.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement effective strategies that promote positive behaviour.
- Encourage active engagement and participation in classroom activities to ensure students feel included and supported.
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree.
- Experience working in a primary school setting, preferably with SEN pupils.
- Qualifications like TeamTeach or training in Positive Behaviour Management are highly desirable.
Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
