Senior Medical Practitioner Position

About the Position
The Senior Medical Practitioner will provide psychiatric services within the Adult Mental Health Program at a community clinic in the North Metropolitan Health Service, Mental Health (NMHS MH). The primary purpose of the role is to examine and assess, diagnose and manage the care of consumers/patients' mental health and monitor their general welfare. This can include provision of service to their families and carers. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure comprehensive and specialised mental health assessment and treatment is provided for patients using a range of appropriate interventions and evidence-based best practice treatment.
About the Team
The Stirling Community Adult Mental Health Service provides specialist mental health assessment and treatment for people with mental health needs living in the community, with clinics in various locations. The service includes the Neuromodulation Service and the Creative Expression Centre for Arts Therapy (CECAT), a therapeutic creative arts service that utilises a range of creative mediums and processes to assist in mental illness recovery.
