About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled 1st Line IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with strong technical skills and a passion for IT support to grow with our company.

Job Overview

As a Graduate IT Support Technician, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our customers, offering technical support and resolving IT-related issues. This position is ideal for graduates with a solid foundation in SQL, a keen interest in IT support, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide 1st line support for all incoming IT queries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Ticket Management: Triage, manage, and resolve support tickets using our internal ticketing system.
  • Database Support: Utilize SQL to manage, query, and troubleshoot database-related issues.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their technical issues and guide them through solutions.
  • Problem Diagnosis: Identify, diagnose, and escalate complex technical issues to 2nd and 3rd line support as necessary.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and technical documentation.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in IT support to continually improve your skills.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Educational Background: Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • SQL Knowledge: Basic proficiency in SQL for database management and troubleshooting, with a willingness to learn and develop further skills.
  • Ticketing Systems: Familiarity with support ticketing systems is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a passion for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Customer-focused: Enthusiastic about delivering high-quality support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
