About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working in a school providing a nurturing education for pupils aged 2-19 years. The school offers an exceptional educational experience, enjoyable, stimulating and supportive, enabling children to reach their full potential.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team: teachers, family liaison officer, teaching assistants, speech and language therapist, occupational therapist and mental health practitioner. This role requires a fully qualified Teacher (QTS or equivalent overseas qualification), ability to cover subjects outside of your subject specialism and hold a fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service).

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching in an SEN school in Southport for students aged 2-19 years with Autism Spectrum Condition (A.S.C) and special education needs
  • Covering subjects outside of your subject specialism
  • Holding a fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service)
  • Providing references covering the last two years
  • Holding the Right to work in the UK
  • Having EYFS/KS1/KS2 experience

The estimated salary for this position is around £25,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
