SEN Teaching Assistant Role Overview

We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an outstanding SEN school. The successful candidate will provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, promoting inclusion and a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with teachers and external agencies to support student development.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Utilize effective behavior management strategies to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Stay updated on the National Curriculum to provide targeted support to students.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Education or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure and professional references
  • Ability to work with SEN students and support their holistic development
