SEN Teaching Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Support Specialist to join our client's team at an Outstanding SEN School. As a key member of the teaching support team, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, collaborating with teachers and parents to support student development, and monitoring progress to provide feedback to the teaching staff. Additionally, you will be confident in behaviour management and de-escalation strategies, have good knowledge of the National Curriculum, and possess an optimistic outlook and determination to make a difference in children's education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student development
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching staff
- Be confident in behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Requirements
- Experience working with SEN students
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Legal right to work in the UK
Salary and Benefits
