Scientific Research Associate

The Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction at Imperial College London invites applications for a Research Technician position in Cancer Biology and Gut Health. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Principal Investigator and collaborating with researchers in the Barry team and partnering laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day running of the laboratory, including wet laboratory experiments and standard molecular biology techniques.
- Assist with training and supervision of students and staff, as well as laboratory support and compliance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new research projects and protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience working in a laboratory in an institute of higher education or research institute.
- Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, protein assays, and cell culture.
