Job Description

We are seeking a Youth Support Specialist to join our team in Harlow, working within a young people's service supporting individuals aged 17-19.

The Role:
  • Conduct initial assessments of service users, identifying risks, needs, and requirements.
  • Maintain consistent contact with service users, fostering professional relationships and setting a positive example.
  • Conduct risk assessments and take necessary safety actions during all service user interactions.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external agencies in support of service users' goals.
  • Address and respond promptly to complaints, as well as challenging and managing antisocial behavior.
  • Provide one-on-one support in both community and service settings, ensuring user safety.
  • Document and report on progress and issues for continuous improvement of service quality.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience supporting young people or vulnerable individuals.
  • Able to conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with external agencies.
  • A compassionate and professional approach to building relationships.
  • Conflict resolution skills, with the confidence to address and manage antisocial behavior.
Contract Details:
  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • 6 months, with the potential to transition to a permanent role.
  • Salary: £18.47 per hour (LTD) or £15.75 per hour (PAYE, inclusive of holiday).
