Palliative Care Specialist

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Palliative Care Specialist to join our team. As a specialist palliative care nurse, you will provide expert care to patients and families in Oxfordshire and South Northants.

The estimated salary for this position is £43,000 - £62,840 per annum, depending on experience. This role requires a graduate with 1st level registration, post-registration qualification or equivalent experience, and demonstrable expertise in specialist palliative care nursing.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist palliative care services to patients and families.
  • Assess individuals, families, and populations holistically using advanced history taking skills and other specialist health needs assessments.
  • Work autonomously within a wider healthcare team and as a lone practitioner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate with 1st level registration.
  • Post-registration qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable expertise in specialist palliative care nursing.
