About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Night Support Worker to join our team at Look Ahead. As a Night Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our customers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to handle service caseloads and administrative responsibilities.
  • Conduct key work sessions to achieve Support Plan goals, using innovative and engaging approaches.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with customers, taking a proactive and positive approach.
  • Provide practical assistance with daily living activities, including budgeting, cooking, and establishing a night-time routine.
  • Support customers to maintain a healthy environment, including cleaning and personal hygiene.
  • Record and report customer incidents, managing referrals and completing assessments as required.
  • Develop productive relationships with partner organizations to improve service outcomes.
  • Adhere to lone working protocols and maintain high levels of awareness regarding health and safety.
  • Involving customers in the design, development, and delivery of the service.
  • Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times.
  • Take on shift leading responsibilities, coordinating and leading shifts in the absence of a manager.
  • Be responsible for the handover of key information between shifts.
  • Adhere to all other Look Ahead policies and procedures.
  • Engage in learning and development activities to increase knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with some previous relevant sector work experience.
