Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities to increase revenue and drive sustainable profit growth.
  • Support Regional Directors in winning new business and expanding on existing revenue streams.
  • Focus business development activities on the most beneficial clients and services by providing evidence-based recommendations.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and maintain existing development momentum to maximise growth-impact.
  • Actively seek and follow up new business opportunities aligned to organisational strategic goals.
  • Communicate new service developments to existing and prospective clients.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships by attending client meetings and targeted networking events.
Requirements
  • Possess a positive attitude and be committed to high levels of care for staff and clients.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Full, UK driving licence.
  • A willingness to travel nationwide with regular overnight stays, as required by the role.
  • Strategically penetrate B2B markets, specifically focusing on business opportunities in the water, industrial and environmental sectors.
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies that effectively integrate Panton McLeod's solutions to meet diverse client needs.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in our target sectors, ensuring long-term partnerships and recurring business.
  • Lead market analysis efforts to anticipate trends and align our offerings with market demands.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, emphasising a consultative approach tailored to each client.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sales plans are well integrated with overall business objectives.
  • Utilise and enhance our CRM systems to optimise sales processes and improve customer engagement.
  • Experienced in bid and tender management process.
Desirable
  • Experience in commercial contract management and negotiation (including NEC 3/4).
  • Experience in the delivery of water projects at an operational level.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £43k to £48k per annum.
  • Hybrid working arrangements between our office and home.
  • 30 days Annual Leave (including Bank Holidays), rising to 34 with length of service.
