About the Job

This exciting opportunity is for a talented and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the New England North West Mental Health Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced clinical nursing care and expert advice to patients and families, using your skills and knowledge to improve health outcomes and promote recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced clinical nursing care and expert advice in a mental health community setting;
  • Deliver person-centred care through evidence-based assessments, clinical interventions, and prescribing;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate patient management plans;
  • Demonstrate clinical leadership through mentoring, education, research, and quality improvement;
  • Maintain workplace health and safety standards and contribute to policy development and ongoing practice improvement.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or equivalent qualification;
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse;
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with multiple agency partners to enhance collaboration and deliver integrated services across sectors;
  • A commitment to travel beyond the main hub site as needed, providing support and care to clinicians and patients in smaller, remote, and rural communities;
  • An ability to work autonomously with accountability, adhering to safe, culturally respectful, and values-based care.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be offered a salary of approximately $139,661 per year, plus superannuation and other benefits including salary packaging options, meal expenses, and paid parental leave.
