About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Student Support Officer to join our team at one of our partner schools in Newport. As a key member of the inclusion team, you will play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour and supporting students who require additional support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students in the Student Support Centre, removing them from mainstream classes and working one-on-one to address behavioural challenges
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all interactions
  • Show initiative and collaborate effectively with the inclusion team to achieve shared goals
  • Engage in the school's performance management process to ensure continuous improvement
  • Work flexibly as needed to meet the needs of the school and students

Requirements

  • Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (we can assist with obtaining this)
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Two professional references covering the past 24 months
