About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, helping students with their learning and promoting a positive environment. Your role will involve assisting with preparing learning materials, working one-on-one or in small groups with students, and contributing to creating an inclusive and engaging atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Teachers: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and adapting materials as needed.
  • Support Students: Assist students in accessing the curriculum and encourage active participation in their learning.
  • Provide Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support, helping students stay engaged and confident.
  • Manage Classroom Behaviour: Help manage classroom behaviour and support students' social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure consistent support and communication.
  • Maintain Communication: Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is highly desirable.
  • Qualification: A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate, would be advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Passion: A passion for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Training: Willingness to undertake further training if required.
