Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced radiography professional to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our imaging services department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Radiography Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the day-to-day running of the imaging services department, including supporting research, stock control, and patient appointment arrangements.
  • Providing leadership and direction to the radiography team, acting as a role model and patient advocate.
  • Monitoring and maintaining standards of professional practice, supervising junior staff, and deploying staff to ensure standards are met.
  • Assessing, planning, and making informed decisions on required imaging examinations, providing advice and maintaining associated records.
  • Supporting the aims and vision of the Trust, taking personal responsibility for the quality of the service provided.
Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A DCR/BSc qualification and HCPC registration.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in a wide range of general radiographic and screening procedures.
  • Experience in QA, audit, and student mentorship and staff supervision.
  • A commitment to reflecting on and learning from previous practice, with evidence of a willingness to expand your clinical role.
