As a medical professional in our Hospital at Home and Respiratory Virtual Ward, you will gain valuable experience in providing hospital-level care and monitoring to patients in their own homes or care homes. You will work as part of a supportive team of consultants and nurse practitioners, delivering high-quality care to patients in the central Borders and Cheviot regions. This role is ideal for post-foundation doctors at ST1 or ST2 level who have completed a foundation medical training programme or have gained equivalent additional clinical experience. You will have the opportunity to develop and evidence clinical and professional competence, particularly in careers in medicine, medicine of the elderly, respiratory medicine, or General Practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide hospital-level care and monitoring to patients in their own homes or care homes

Work as part of a supportive team of consultants and nurse practitioners

Deliver high-quality care to patients in the central Borders and Cheviot regions

Develop and evidence clinical and professional competence

Contribute to the general medical out-of-hours rota at the BGH (by mutual agreement)

Requirements:

Post-foundation doctors at ST1 or ST2 level

Completed a foundation medical training programme or gained equivalent additional clinical experience

Full GMC registration and licence to practice

A driver's license and access to a car

Ability to travel and see patients
