Job Role: Special Education Needs Support Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Special Education Needs Support Professional to join our team. As a Special Education Needs Support Professional, you will work with students with social, emotional and mental health needs, providing them with the support and guidance they need to succeed.

Responsibilities:

* Offer 1:1 support to students with social, emotional and mental health needs
* Deliver pre-planned lessons, created by senior leadership, to cater to individual students' needs
* Bring a patient, caring attitude to the environment
* Monitor students on break times

Essential Skills:

* Ability to work effectively with individual students
* Ability to promote social and emotional development
* Ability to respond calmly and effectively to display behaviours

Desirable Skills:

* Experience of working with young people with special educational needs and disability
* Good working knowledge of Safeguarding and Health and Safety
* Experience or Knowledge of National Curriculum subjects
* Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to gain one (training available)
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
