Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Education Specialist to join our team at Brook Street Social Care NMR. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and supporting children with autism, aged 5-18, in achieving their full potential.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, care, and preparation for life, while contributing to raising student attainment and behaviour standards. Key responsibilities include:
  • Delivering engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with autism
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement individualised learning plans
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their well-being and confidence
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and achievements

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:
  • Teaching or tutoring experience, preferably in a special educational needs (SEN) setting
  • Degree-level qualification in education or a related field, with recent experience delivering lessons up to GCSE level
  • Experience working with students with autism or other SEN is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures
