Job Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), barriers to learning, and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) within the Foundation Learning department at Bridgwater & Taunton College.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise learners' potential to make positive progress towards their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and/or personalised outcomes, aspirations, and sustainable destinations.
  • Develop and deliver individualised teaching, learning, and assessment approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Promote inclusive practice and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of learners with SEND/SEMH.

Requirements

  • Experience working with learners with SEND/SEMH and a specialist area of expertise that will benefit the department.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
