**About the Role:**

Sunnyside House in Bangor is seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to oversee the well-being of our residents. This dynamic position requires excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to ensure seamless care delivery.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**

  • Support the Home Manager in developing and implementing individualized care plans, monitoring resident progress, and addressing any concerns.
  • Promote a culture of safety, respect, and dignity within the home, fostering positive relationships between residents, staff, and families.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to new staff members, helping them adapt to our unique working environment.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in areas such as medication administration, QCF Assessments, and quality assurance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, contribute to staff rotas, and provide input on policy updates and changes.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • At least 2 years of experience in care provision for older adults or individuals with disabilities;
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care (willingness to work towards Level 3); basic IT skills for using Microsoft Word, email, and electronic recording systems.
  • Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, on-call shifts, and nights;
  • A commitment to maintaining registration on the Northern Ireland Social Care Council register and upholding the Christian ethos of Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

**Compensation and Benefits Package:**

We offer a competitive salary estimate of £26,500-£28,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
