We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Psychiatrist to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work with adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults in a pioneering specialist mental health inpatient unit.

Our trust provides mental health care services from a range of locations across Avon and Wiltshire, promoting mental health and wellbeing through a person-centred approach. We have over 5,000 dedicated staff and provide services to approximately 1 million people.



Salary

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £85,000 - £105,000 per annum, depending on experience.



Job Responsibilities


  1. Deliver Expert Medical Care: Provide exceptional medical services to our service users, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  2. Strategic Planning: Contribute to service and business planning for both local and broader mental health services.

Requirements


  • Essential Qualifications: Basic Medical Qualification (MBBS or equivalent)
  • Desirable Qualifications:

    • Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
    • Completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in Psychiatry or as a fixed term specialty trainee in Psychiatry or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
