We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Specialist Doctor to join our dynamic team at the AWP Regional LDA Unit, a pioneering Specialist Mental Health Inpatient Unit for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults.

The successful candidate will provide exceptional medical services to our service users, ensuring the highest standards of care, and contribute to service and business planning for both local and broader mental health services.

As a Specialist Doctor, you will deliver expert medical care, participate in continuous professional development, and engage in strategic planning to shape the future of specialist mental health care for people with a learning disability and for autistic people.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a Basic Medical Qualification (MBBS or equivalent) and up-to-date knowledge of issues in Mental Health Service for this specialty.

Desirable skills include Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, completed postgraduate training in Psychiatry, and experience in audit projects and research publications.
