About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at the UK Atomic Energy Authority. As a key member of our Materials Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in developing electrical/C&I engineering skills by contributing to multidisciplinary engineering and technical projects within our fusion research programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to gather information and share ideas, fostering a culture of open communication.
  • Contribute to long- and short-term projects, driving innovation and progress in electrical/C&I engineering.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Perform installation activities, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Design, install, and test electrical/C&I systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Hold an Engineering degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent experience.
Working Environment

Parts of the role may require work in radiation-controlled areas or in beryllium-controlled areas. Full training and medical assessments will be provided if necessary.
