Position Overview

This role is integral to advancing the field of fusion energy. As an Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing electrical and control engineering capabilities by engaging in multidisciplinary engineering projects within the Materials Business Unit, contributing to the UKAEA's fusion research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with internal teams to collect data and exchange innovative ideas.
  • Participating in both long-term and short-term engineering projects.
  • Assisting in the creation of technical documentation.
  • Executing installation tasks for various systems.
  • Designing, installing, and testing electrical and control instrumentation systems.
Required Qualifications:

Essential:
  • A degree in engineering, HNC/HND, or equivalent professional experience.
Some aspects of this position may involve working in controlled environments, with appropriate training and medical evaluations provided as necessary.
