About the Role

As a Strategic Business Intelligence Leader, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of analytical and research staff working on various service areas, including health determinants research collaboration (HDRC), economy, communities, transport, environment, corporate insight/surveys, and corporate services performance.

This leadership position requires someone with exceptional skills and experience to implement the BI Strategy and HDRC Project Plan, lead culture change in data and research usage throughout the Council, provide strategic and operational research and insight, promote innovation and efficiency in business intelligence, and support the development of the Council's corporate performance management framework.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality business intelligence and research findings to departments to improve service delivery and decision-making. Additionally, you will lead a team of managers and analysts working in these service areas and provide expert support to corporate activities as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the BI Strategy and HDRC Project Plan
  • Lead culture change in data and research usage throughout the Council

  • Provide high-quality business intelligence and research findings to departments

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify insights
