About the Opportunity:

Zachary Daniels is seeking a Strategic Property Director to join its team and lead the company's property portfolio. This role will oversee the acquisition, disposal, and lease negotiations of retail properties to support the organisation's growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Property Strategy: Develop a comprehensive property strategy aligned with the retailer's business objectives.
  • Lead Property Acquisitions and Disposals: Lead the acquisition and disposal of retail properties, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
  • Manage Lease Negotiations: Manage lease negotiations and renewals to secure optimal agreements.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate store openings, relocations, and closures.
  • Analyse Market Trends: Analyse market trends to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Oversee Property Management Activities: Oversee property management activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Build Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with landlords, agents, and local authorities.
  • Lead and Develop a Team: Manage and develop an established team of property professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Present to Executive Board: Prepare and present property performance and strategy reports to the executive board, confidently challenging and influencing decisions when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Extensive Property Experience: Extensive experience in property management, real estate, or a related field, preferably within the retail sector.
  • Strong Property Knowledge: Strong understanding of property law, lease agreements, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Data Analysis: Proven ability to analyse data and market trends for strategic decision-making.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience with a successful track record in managing teams and projects.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in property, real estate, or business management.
